At 0xpo Crossroads in San Francisco, Blocknative CEO Matt Cutler sat down with Decrypt’s Jason Nelson to discuss his Web3 origin story and the business of Blocknative. With over 15 years of experience in the software industry, Matt has a deep understanding of the blockchain space and its many applications. He discussed the misconceptions that still exist in the crypto space, the importance of user experience, and how Blocknative is working to make blockchain easier to use.
In December 2022, the inaugural Crypties awards gala was held at Art Basel in Miami. Hosted by Josh Ostrovsky (“The Fat Jewish”) with presenters from a range of crypto projects, the Crypties gave out statuettes in nine categories. Sponsors included Polygon, Filecoin Foundation, Lamina1, Async, BeetsDAO, The Gold Mask, Gem Set, Breakout, Anonymous, Infinite Objects, Ape Water, Decentralized Pictures, and Vault 721.
In addition, Tezos co-founder Kathleen Breitman was a guest speaker at Web Summit in Lisbon. She discussed how the Tezos blockchain has used a proof-of-stake mechanism since its inception, her admiration for Tendermint and Ethereum, and progressive decentralization. She also spoke about NFT gaming and how it’s revolutionizing the blockchain space.
Overall, the events at 0xpo Crossroads, the Crypties 2022, and Web Summit provided important insight into the crypto space. Attendees were able to learn more about blockchain technology and the impact it’s having on the world. In addition, the events highlighted the importance of user experience and the power of NFT gaming.
